Welcome!
This site has been created to share what we regard as 'good practice' in history and teaching in general. Note that this is a site in development so do check back regularly. So far we have focused on creating a series of tutorials on using ICT in the History classroom.

Recommended books and websites
Every month we aim to recommend books and websites that have inspired us to try out something new in the classroom. Hopefully these are as helpful and interesting to you as they have been to us!

I first bought Paul Ginnis' book when I was an NQT and was teaching a paticularly tricky G&T group. I needed something to challenge them and this book gave me a whole range of ideas - I still love it! /Johannes |

We were approached and asked if we could write a book to share some of the ideas and activities we have amalgamated over the years. Ideas range from designing challenging lessons to keeping students interested and on task to organising your teaching in order to control challenging behaviour. We loved writing the book, hope you enjoy reading it. / Neal |

After attending a course with one of the authors I decided to purchase this outstanding book. This is a must if you are interested in Thinking Skills and mind-maps in general! You will never need another mind-mapping book ever again.../Johannes |
